 SkyBound Trampoline Cirrus Design

To start with, this trampoline is a stunner. Nice electric blue accents complement the black, sleek curves of the trampoline. It looks sturdy and absolutely amazing; it certainly stands out from the generic trampolines and it’s obvious from the get-go that it’s not just a run-of-the-mill model. The curved poles not only look nicer, but make the trampoline safer as well. It definitely makes an impression amongst visitors and is a central figure in the backyard.

Frame & Enclosure

6 W-shaped legs keep the SkyBound trampoline stable and steady. The steel poles and legs are galvanized to prevent rust and spot-welded. The poles are curved and covered in a soft, film-coated foam to further enhance safety. The enclosure net itself is so far from the poles that we believe you won’t ever touch them accidentally. The net is made from high-grade dense mesh(100g/m2) and your fingers won’t get stuck or injured when touching it.

Mat & Safety Pad

The mat is good. It is made of thick, quality material that appears to be able to take a beating and come out unscathed. We feel you won’t need to go easy on the trampoline as it seems very well-equipped for even the most demanding of users. The pad is two-piece for a more premium bounce. It comes with an antibacterial and anti-fungal coating, which is something we have never seen before. It’s difficult to evaluate the effectiveness of such a treatment, but it can’t hurt. Kudos to Skybound Trampolines!

The weight limit of 220 lbs is not too high, but is adequate for a single user (as it should be on the trampoline at all times to avoid the risk of injury). We feel the SkyBound trampoline can handle a lot more, but it is a good risk minimization strategy for the manufacturer.

Springs

72 springs is a good number for a 14 ft. trampoline but we would like to see a a dozen more. The springs are ‘gold’ – notice the quote marks. This means that yes, they are gold, but in color only. They are coated in ionized zinc to prevent rust and corrosion. The manufacturer claims they are 50% bouncier than regular springs. We couldn’t really ascertain the precise percentage, but the bounce did feel better than with regular, ordinary springs from the same manufacturer. The springs are 7 inches long. For an even more premium experience, the Skybound Stratos features 8.5 inches long springs – and a price premium.

Assembly & Warranty

The warranty is excellent – 10 years on the enclosure and frame is excellent.

The assembly is also very quick and we experienced no issues. Skybound Trampolines calls it the ‘Lightning-Quick’ enclosure installation method that features a push-pin system. Marketing babble notwithstanding, we had no issues with it. There are no nuts and bolts that you’d have to deal with and learn how to figure out.

The trampoline doesn’t come with a ladder or other accessories – adding a ladder could have been a nice gesture.
